The H1B is a special visa that allows foreign nationals to perform specialty occupations in the United States. A specialty occupation is one that requires, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree or enough work experience that could equate to a degree. The work can be either full-time or part-time. H1B visas are valid for up to three years. Furthermore, three-year extensions are available, for a total validity period of six years.
